I doubt it, unless today's date is December 21, 2012 (the end of the Mayan Calendar)!

IT looks like it will not happen in one day, it is happening 200 points each day. and is not going to get better, and it is to late for the fed cut to help now. and I do pray that I am wrong!!!!!!! we are all in one hec of a mess,  and it is going to take a long time to fix.I worry alot about what kind of future our kids will have , and what are we teaching them.

Several years ago I heard a radio DJ say that with the obesity problem in the world today, the earths

crust will collapse from our combined weight!!!!!  How about that one??!!!!

Corky, as bad as things look, I don't think it will get that bad.  Home Depot is up 1.35 today and in my book, that's an extra 450.00 in my wallet than was there yesterday.

Even they don't think it is the end of the world, it is just the end of a 52-year cycle for them.  I don't expect anything interesting to happen in 2012...as long as the bees are still alive by 2009-2010.

RiskTaker.... yes, I heard about the bees dying out too!!  That is scary!!

And, I don't think a world wide economic crash will happen in the next 4-5 years, but the thing is about these things, THEY ARE RARELY SEEN COMING  (and the people that do pedict them are sidelined as kooks(spelling?))

Lesson?  Don't talk about it to your friends, but have some mental awareness and at least a modest savings/nest egg(preferrebly in non-paper form, ie physical silver or gold)

Well at least we aren't at hyperinflationary stages yet where we have to take a whole suitcase full of money to the store because our money is so worthless ans we have to mortgage what few of us have houses that wern't repoed in the financial mortgage/housing mess.

Maybe I should think about buying some stock in cardboard makers??? HMMMM>>>> homeless usually live in boxes don't they??? Seriously I hope noone becomes homeless, I've seen it first hand when I was in Chicago in Sept 2006. Not a pretty sight. It truly makes you realize how thankful we all can be for what we do have. One can only hope none of us become homeless because of this financila mess we are all in?? Financial sector/Housing, construction are ripe for the picking. They are about beaten down as far as they can go pricewise I think. Plus we all know Metals are a good hedge bet.
