    Don't like the new rule

that you have to be + to be a weekly overall winner.

That just makes people who are legitantely negative (due to bad picks, or good picks gone bad) from  winning when they do stumble along a new pick.

WSS should instead punish those they found who devauled their portfolios on purpose instead of punishing everyone else who is playing the game honestly.

Where did you find that rule?  I didn't know about that.  Takes all the fun out of the game....

I am not really an active player.  But I appreciate them trying to keep the game fair.  I don't know how they can prove that people are doing that but if they can, the cheats should be eliminated.

    Don't like the new rule

gee that really narrows down the player available to win the weekly prize

why its not fair is because the market is all ups and downs.  Should someone not be allowed for wining a prize on a good pick, simply because the stocks they have picked in the past have done poorly?

Should someone wo's portfolio has rebounded in a huge way not be rewarded simply becuase it hasn't rebounded enough to get them back to even?

There is a huge differnece between a player who is intentionally trying to work the system and the player who miscalculated when to buy or sell!  Your punishing the player that miscalculated in the past but is learning from that mistake.

I'm not really sure how I feel about it. I'm glad that people can't just make their portfolio drop so they can win but bummer for the people under 100k

Is this rule a plus for the week or over the initial 100,000?

As of right now this makes 6654 survivors able to win, with a total of 12523 survivors it eliminates almost half. I have been playing this game since July and for the first time in that time, I have stayed above the 100k mark for most of this game, but the falling market this last week has realy hurt me, I am at 96k, and praying to climb back before long, but this new rule will eliminate me from the running.

Now what does this put me in the mind for.... well lets see, either it disheartens me enough to quit the game, or another idea is to create multiple accounts, now leaving the game puts a lot of non players here....and multiple accounts does the same, and that can get annoying when we are trying to figure out what our real ranking is, we had that trouble last game.

I know I have been a proponent of the "we didn't make the game so we just have to folllow the rules" camp but this "Elitest" rule realy hurts the game. As I said I have been doing real well this game at keeping myself above the cut, maybe it should be something like if your average for the game is above 100K, or maybe make the cutoff 90k for those that float right around 100k, I can understand why the need for something like this, but don't push about half of the players to quit cause they made some bad choices.

I thought the person who won was still neg, but had rebounded a lot?  Did I read that wrong...

I can see why they are doing it and I guess it won't have too much of an effect because the honest players aren't down that much if they get a lucky pick and bump their portfoliio up 30-40% it would probably put them above $100,000 anyways. No harm done. Good rule.
