Today's Fire has me prepared. The smoke is hard to breath..the fire is traveling fast with the Santa Ana winds. I have all my important belongings and papers ready to go. Living in Los Angeles they kinda prepare you to do so. I take it seriously. So far I am ready and the smoke is bad..I won't sleep tonight just in case they evacuate my area. Sucks. The day I have off..I work on a show...in Valencia and no smoke there... here it is aweful. I woke up smelling..tonight I have to keep my hearing aid on and sleep propped up just in case.. usually i take my hearing aid off when I sleep. Not tonight.

Good luck to you... I couldnt imagine living in fear that a fire is going to engulf my home at any moent.... I hope you and your family are safe and get out unharmed....

DogSalmon, I've just added you to my list of people to worry about!  I hope everything goes okay and you stay safe.  The thought of smoke in the air is very scary.  I've been watching the fire on TV and I don't like what I'm seeing and hearing.  Thank goodness you will evacuate if it gets too bad. BE CAREFULL!!!!!!!!

I'm so sorry to hear about your situation!  I am praying for your safety first, but I sincerely hope you don't have to deal with the fire anymore than you already have!  It's great to hear that you're prepared with your papers and belongings, but I surely hope that you're prepared for an emergency that you DON'T have to deal with!!!!  Stay alert but more important........STAY SAFE!

I just show the latest news update on the fire and I hope you are safe & have evacuated. Every year there's Santa Ana wind fires & I don't recall any year that SoCal residents have not been spared. We're on high fire alert up here in the SF Bay Area right now due to similar conditions in SoCal.  They just had 95% containment of the fire(started by a suspected campfire) which destroyed half of Angel Island in SF Bay. It's consider the Ellis Island of the West Coast. Fortunately, none of the over 100 historic buildings were damaged or lost.  California is so parched that everyone is praying for a good rainfall season.  Goldiec, I think we need you to come here  to do your famous rain dance for us thirsty Californians!!

 We are all praying for you. I would be to afraid to sleep tonite. I guess you kind of get used to it there huh? There is so much going on with fires, tornados, hurricanes and all. The weather man can't even call the weather hardly anymore. Hopfully this to shall pass in a good way. Good luck

thank you all, i think they have it mostley contained. it is now in granada hills but I should be just fine. i feel bad for the people who have losted their homes. I am tired.

DogSalmon, I am glad after reading your second posting that you are okay.  I am praying for everyone impacted by the fire.  That must be a terribly difficult experience.  Hope you get some rest and recover soon.

Glad to hear that you are OK.  But anything can happen with the Santa Ana winds since it's so unpredictable.  Isn't the watch alert for the SA winds through February of next year? You still have to be viligant and prepared. Get some rest for now.
