Is a bulletin board stock same as pink sheet?

    Hey,

Is an .ob stock same as pink sheet and not allowed to trade as I notice stocks such as soigf.ob and cneh.ob, are being traded by some but I cant get an answer from WSS as to if it is allowed as the contest lets you buy them.

Thanx for any help, dont want to get disqualified.

According to the rules you should be able to trade buletin board stocks as long as they meet the other criterea. But i have heard from people that the game wasn't allowing them to buy certain ones.

Technically Bulletin boards stocks, yes and pick sheets, No.

    Dear Survivor,

Thank you for your interest in Wall Street Survivor.

Please be informed that the stock GTEC is now GTEC.OB which means that
it is an over the counter stock now. Our contest rule state that any
stock that is over the counter are not to be traded by Wall Street

The only point is that it doesnt specifically say anything as an ob is NOT a pinksheet and if it is not allowed, it should be stated to ALL contestants in an email as clarification and use the email date as the cutoff point. There are many people buying theses stocks including many in the upper positions of the contest. I myself have done this.

\you know the top dogs aint gonna get kicked out

Any comments or thoughts as we never get any updates on things like this, that would make it fair for all of us.

"4. Eligible Securities - Traders can buy any common stock, preferred stock, or ETF listed on NYSE, NASDAQ, or AMEX exchange that is quoted by our data vendor with a bid of $.25 or higher. Traders cannot trade pink sheet stocks, mutual funds, options, futures, or bonds."

It doensn't specifically prohibit OTCBB stocks. But it doesn't say they allow it either. The rules should be clearer. I also though that people in this game were trading OTCBB stocks.

I am able to trade OTC:BB stocks here.

But not pink sheet stocks, which seem to be usually listed on quotes as Other OTC issues.
