    Wesley Who?

With Wesley Clark as a supporter of Obama, he now becomes the latest embarassment. He's never been a mover and a shaker as witnessed by his failed Presidential bid from several years ago, when he got like four votes in one of the primaries. Rumor has it that three of those were family members.

he used to be a republican but switch parties because he wasn't taken seriously. Dennis kucinich got more votes than him.

I liked Kucinich. He had some good ideas but there were so many candidates, that no one paid attention.

Now that Clark is a democrat, he has turned into a attention seeker.

kucinich was never given a chance with the media nor was mike gravel. in the debates they were put practically off the stage on the far ends. both had some interesting ideas

Clark, is a two faced, self serving (for what I don't know) dope. When he was talking about Kerry's (long and recognized) military service, it was all assets that the CIChief should have. But in his latest appearance (Sun) JM's (longer and honored) military service was dismissed as being inconsequential or even even more trivial.

We must be the dumbest populace in the world to, not only to believe this crap, but, more so, to have such nonsense presented to us without questioning.

I think attention seeker is an accurate description of the man. It's too bad he couldn't grab the attention for his own ideas rather than trashing someone else. He probably is jealous because he couldn't turn his military service into a political career. If his recent comments are any indication, don't look for that to change in the near future. He may get a spot in Obama's administration. They look like they deserve each other. Any chance he had as veep has dissolved, if he was ever considered in the first place. He's the designated hitter. He just struck out.

    Hey Irishgreek:

Good to see you again.......hope all is well with you.

Yeah, I pretty much agree.......he is hurting Obama in his rhetoric, from my objectibve analysis, and is getting more publicity than he is helping the Obama campaign. McCain could use this to his advantage, if that is possible. On the flip side, Obama, if he can tone down the rhetoric, could use Clark wisely as a surrogate. We will have to see how this all plays out, but Clark needs to tone it down, if he is to be a good tool for Obama to use, if not, he will be flame-bait for the McCain campaign.

Wesley Kanne Clark is the former U.S. Army general who ran as a Democratic candidate for the presidency in the 2004 election. Clark grew up in Little Rock, Arkansas and, at the age of 16, started at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, where he graduated first in his class. He also earned a graduate degree as a Rhodes Scholar at Oxford and commanded fighting troops in Vietnam, where he was injured three times. During the '80s and '90s he moved up the military ladder and served as and administrator in training and command posts, eventually becoming a four-star general. In 1997 he was named as the U.S. commander of NATO forces in Europe by President Bill Clinton. In 1999 Clark was in charge of the NATO victory in Kosovo over the forces of Slobodan Milosevic, but in 2000 he retired after 34 years in the army (some stories have it that he was forced to retire). Clark entered the private sector as an author, consultant and investment banker, a highly decorated soldier and recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom. After terrorist attacks in New York and Washington, D. C. in 2001, Clark was a frequent guest commentator on television, emerging in 2003 as a strong critic of President George W. Bush's military policy in the Middle East. Clark bowed out of the presidential race on 11 February 2004, after winning the Oklahoma primary on February 3rd but finishing far back in other state results.

Just a footnote: To belittle and dismiss a man of General Clark's Stature. Comes from either sheer ignorance, or a deliberate attempt at smearing a true American hero. If only because he not a member of your turkey shoot club.

here's a little more about this Obama supporter:

Among his military decorations are the Defense Distinguished Service Medal (three awards), Distinguished Service Medal, Silver Star, Legion of Merit (four awards), Bronze Star Medal (two awards), Purple Heart, Meritorious Service Medal (two awards), and the Army Commendation Medal (two awards).

Read what I said. He is not impressive with his presentation. I said nothing about his military service just that he is bitter because he couldn't convert his military service to political aspirations like McCain has. That is my opinion of the man. I  also thinks he shows poor judgment in his choice of candidates. He does not seem very savvy politically , and also tone deaf as well, on the mood of the american electorate. You can criticize McCain but discussing his military service , is not a good place to start. Especially after he lauded Kerry's military record in 2004 as giving him needed experience to be President. That's almost laughable, considering how questionable his record was.

    Re: Wesley Who?

Seti03, do you really accept someone based on what someone says about them, their history (which counts) or what the person actually says after your referenced history? I mean it as if you blindly follow an idiot if he is liberal (or whatever) enough for you.

This man had opposite statements about military service about Kerry and McCain! Now if you want to blindly accept what he says when it fits your liking, fine! But don't claim his flip flopping is anything other than it is. His contradictory statements show him to be nothing more than a bought and paid for "talking head" with no more credibility than a double headed nickel.

Is integrity lost in our country? Our populace? Are we so dumb we can't differentiate truth from fiction? This guy praised Kerry as a war hero with traits conducive to the Presidency, but says McCain's service does not have the same qualities.

Seti03, you sound fair, and say you want the truth, but when it stares you in the face, darn near slapping you in the face, you still dismiss it and believe only what you want to believe. I wish I was always right!!!!

Just because someone has credentials does not make him honest. We have to see that, find that for ourselves if we want the truth. And it couldn't be easier in this case.
