anybody else find that the XP program from Microsoft is still better then Vista?

according msnbc there is a large petition going around to save xp from being eliminated off the shelves this coming summer.

I have used vista and went back to xp myself

What caused you to go back? I find so many people I talk to about computers hate the learning curve more than the new programs.

Vista is Bloated

there's nothing more to learn, just alot of garbage .they just changed alot of the programs to look better and it really is worse

XP is better.

I'll take your word for it. I'm still using XP and like it OK. They have released Vista service pack 1. Did that help??

I like windows XP but truthfully i haven't bothered to learn install vista...on the otherhand, my brother bought vista and said once you get use to it...it is much nicer than windows xp...so i can't speak for myself without having tried it...

If that's not sarcasm, then you're clearly not using Vista :) 

What problems does Vista have?

A plethora in my book. I've had more problems with my vista computer than when I first got one with XP. Sadly, I was using XP within 3 months of it being released, and I started Vista almost a year after it was released. Many companies were a lot slower to release drivers for Vista. I had a video card that refused to work for months. 

The ram requirements on vista are greater. The security on Vista is greater, but it's overly annoying as I get warnings from Vista AND my anti-virus/firewall software. I'm sure there's a least a few other things I can think of that are wrong with it. If you're thinking about upgrading to Vista, you're better off buying a new machine with it. Your old one likely doesn't have the right specifications for it.
